Building pathways at the National FVPLS Forum’s annual members conference

NAAFLS Acting CEO, Wendy Jennings, and Senior Partnership and Advocacy Officer, Rachel Hill, were honoured to join other members last week at the National Family Violence Prevention Legal Services (FVPLS) Forum’s annual members conference in Narrm (Melbourne).

The National FVPLS Forum is the national peak body for FVPLS across Australia which provides culturally safe and holistic services to First Nations people affected by family violence, primarily, women and children.

We joined with our fellow FVPLS members to work on the strategic plans for the next five years for the future of the NFVPLS and FVPLS sectors to reduce domestic, family and sexual violence across Australia.

“Meeting everyone and being in the same room is what we needed after a tough year for our sector. The National FVPLS Forum has brought a great sense of the connection we have and how the forum can support and advocate for our service. The biggest take away from the conference is that we’re all walking side by side to end family violence in our communities we service, and the forum is there to walk with us,” said Rachel.
