What is the North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service (NAAFLS)?
NAAFLS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), providing specialist, culturally safe, trauma informed, legal support services exclusively to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV).
We provide services across the Top End, including the Big Rivers region, Katherine, the Tiwi Islands and Nhulunbuy, servicing more than 350,000 km².
Do I have to pay for the service?
NAAFLS is a free service. We do not charge any money for the work we do on your legal case. If there are any associated charges or fees that you need to pay, we will let you know.
Where are NAAFLS offices located?
We have offices in Darwin (Larrakia land), Katherine (Jawoyn, Dagoman and Wardaman land) and Nhulunbuy (Yolŋu land).
