Legal Services
Our team of culturally competent lawyers provide legal advice and representation in court and are well trained in assisting clients through these difficult and sensitive legal issues.
Non-Legal Services
Our non-legal support team assists clients through the legal process and ensures the service is culturally safe. They offer clients advice about how to keep themselves and their children safe, as well as how to access other services when trying to deal with difficult situations.
Leaving Violence Program
The Leaving Violence Program can assist with things you might need like transport, food, medicine, clothes, furniture, paying rent or fixing a car. You’ll also get up to 12 weeks of support with things like setting up a bank account, making a safety plan, finding legal assistance, health services and other things you might need.
Community Legal Education
Through community legal education we help people understand how the law works and their rights and obligations under the law. This is vital to self-determination as it empowers people to make informed decisions about their own lives. It is particularly important that people understand how the justice system can protect them from family violence.
Policy and Advocacy Change
We advocate for systemic change through formal written submissions, sector meetings, communications to the public and face-to-face meetings with the government.
