NAAFLS Nikaiya Payne dazzled at 2024 Katherine NAIDOC Ball

NAAFLS Nikaiya Payne dazzled the crowd at the 2024 Katherine NAIDOC Ball winning the Best Dressed award for her very own dress design on the night.

Nikaiya’s dress design “was intricately inspired by the journey through difficult times. The dots arranged in a circle symbolise the small yet significant milestones in healing and recovery from life’s hardships. Each dot represents a step forward, acknowledging personal progress and the gradual path to wellness. The vines woven throughout the design signify our continuous journey, intertwining our past experiences with an unwavering hope for the future. They symbolise our ability to move forward, despite uncertainties, trusting in God’s plan and placing faith in His guidance without knowing the final outcome.”

When not creating inspirational fashion designs, Nikaiya is an invaluable member of NAAFLS legal team as a Paralegal and Case Worker based in our Katherine office.
